Annual Military Vehicle Re-enactment Week-end

Multi period military re-enactment and vehicle event at Duncannon Fort. The Munster Military Vehicle and Re-enactment Group wish to announce Duncannon Fort Military Event 2010. Re-enactors from the middle ages through to the present times will be present. Military vehicles from a number of different armies and eras will also be represented. The show will open to the public from 11.00 - 17.00hrs. on Saturday and Sunday with many different historical re-enactments taking place. Medieval Archers will give an archery display. Medieval foot soldiers will also be present. Red Coats and United Irishmen of 1798 will relive their period and will be one of the main events of the week-end, with the outcome of the Rebellion hanging in the balance. Irish troops of the period 1935-41 will be on hand to keep an eye out for any sign of invasion, a great day out for all the family.
