Post REMINDER CALL FOR DUNCANNON ON THE 5TH AND 6TH OF JUNE 10.
Guys I need people to help me out over the June bank holiday weekend in Duncannon Fort and I am getting slow responses back. I expecially need a few people to help me put up our tent and inside display on Friday the 4th. I also need firearms to display and again I am reminding everyone of the importance of this display for our Association and urge you to respond to my request for help. We are an association and it should not be left to the same people all the time to do everything. I await your replies and I posted up local bed and breakfasts for people to enquire about or you can stay under canvas in the Fort at no extra cost. shooter/mick.

Ill give a dig out Mick but it looks like the same old story nobody wants to do the grafting,as you said its important for the promotion of the VCRAI and there is plenty of members on the east and south of the country that can give up a few hours on the Friday to help out,we also NEED FIREARMS TO DISPLAY all fire arms will be stored in the armory so there is no worry for anybody staying over night.lads get the finger out and help out at the end of the day its YOUR VCRAI we are promoting.

Begrudgery, they say is a national trait and you can expect every successful business, group, committee, association to have its detractors. Individuals with their own agenda driving wedges, engineering ‘hissy-fits’ and deliberately presenting ‘off-the-cuffs’ remarks after a few drinks as ‘you insulted our group’, with the deliberate intention of creating ‘splits’. It takes strong leadership to maintain a military re-enactment group’s cohesion in these circumstances and not allow the “little Napoleons” take over.

Finally, our thanks Paul, you are always welcome in the Rebel County. With your help the Duncannon event is now established as the 'jewel-in-the-crown' of Irish re-enactment for all historical periods.
