Martini-Enfield shooting last Sunday....
This is an original MkI Enfield Lock Arsenal-made Martini-Enfield in .450-577cal. It has a degree of sun-burn on the blueing which
may indicate that it spent some time in hot climes - perhaps Africa. As such, it may have been at Rorkes Drift in 1879 - who can tell?
The load is a BP substitute called Triple 7, and is fairly stout.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX6uA7bc70oThe bullets are not typical, but just happened to be handy and needed using up. They weigh in at 565gr.
Enjoy!
