An alternative answer to the hard to get Parker Hale elements for your BSA Martini. Most of the BSA Martini firearms in the club have the PH1 foresight,i for one have found it hard to get elements for my BSA ive searched Ebay and other sites there out there but you have to spend an arm and a leg on them and most of the elements i want are not there, one of the lads produced elements on the range last week, they come on a card and there is an assortment of elements they fit the PH1 foresight and they are ideal for anyone thinking of shooting with open sights.. 17 series Globe Front Sight Insert Card, click on link below http://stores.leeshavergunsmithing.com/ ... Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
Tac thanks for that I will PM you with details.
A question, which of the various front sight elements would be deemed to be the best or is it a personnel thing, I would like to know how the cross hair works as against what seems to be the more common ones.

 Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
Mick - crosshairs for white targets, 'holes' for black targets. Ideally, you should see an clear white surround about a 1/4 diameter of the black at whatever distance you are shooting, hence the variety of element sizes.

 Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
The elements arrived from Lee Shaver today, so anyone thinking on getting a set for there PH1 foresight on there BSA Martini dont waste your money they are too small and wont fit, the element falls straight the tube, which is a pity Hawkeye

 Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
As I wote before - email me with details of the sight elements you DO have and I'll try and match them. I've already done it for JK. If you don't respond then I can't help you. tac

 Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
Tac my apologies, wasn't ignoring you and am obliged for the offer. I mostly use a scope on the BSA Martini. The reason I didn't get back to you was the front sight on the rifle is a tube type, Andrew Tucker.
I do have a Parker Hale type front sight mount but it does not have a reference number on it. I am going to bring it to the range and find out the correct type of elements used and then I can let you know.
Sorry again.

 Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
Mick, old floon, please don't apologise, I know what's going on over there. Just read your email when you get a chance. I can lay my paws on the Andrew Tucker foresight elements - if pushed. See if what I've sent you is what you need - 18mm outside diameter with assymetric lugs at 9 and 3 o'clock.
Same goes for Hawkeye, if they' ll suit his sight unit.
Take care.

 Re: Parker Hale foresight elements
Found some five more this morning at my local gun dealership. IF they are the right ones [identical to those I've sent to Mick], I'll mail them over as well.
