We believe the father of a member here on this forum, mentioned in the past that his dad was in the city of Dublin rifle and pistol club. In today's pc world gone mad, it is unimaginable to consider the DoJ approving a pistol range located underground in the city center. It was entirely possible to see some of the members after handgun practice, locating to the local watering-hole that had a private members snug. In the early 60s up the early 70s - it was possible, so we believe, to load and fire blackpowder period arms, without the sky falling-in or firearms dealer losing their shirt, over a range of target grade components they would never in a million years considered supplying...
